Huge Update podcast fans!

We have some big rumblings here at NBL and we are excited to share. We have several upcoming shows to be released in the next couple of weeks. As promised we will be crossing over all kinds of lines. We will kick things off local style and immediately shift gears to go politics. You just have to with some of the things on the front these days.

Here is a quick rundown on what is coming:

  1. A downtown New Braunfels discussion: What is going on in the basement? If you don’t know the history of downtown, join us for this great discussion, plus a bonus exchange on ghosts!
  2. A breakdown of the newly released Texas GOP platform. This should be subtitled the “Are you kidding me?” segment
  3. An exclusive interview with a delegate at the Texas Democratic State Convention in Corpus Christi from June 24th-26th. You will not want to miss this!
  4. “Mr. Matt Goes to Washington”: An exclusive report from Matt on Capitol Hill in Washington DC (No really!). Look for this report in early July as Matt meets with his Representatives on the Hill.

In addition to these great pods coming your way, Matt ponders the question, what the heck is this thing pictured here? You have seen it all over the area but may not know it. Matt will reveal what he REALLY thinks is going on in this shot.

Timeline Update

Things are “progressing” right along. NBL will be in studio on Friday this week and recording or first podcasts. Production over the weekend should put us published by early next week. This is already syndicated in iTunes so you can either subscribe there or watch the site for the postings.

We will be recording multiple episodes at once so we will trickle out the releases afterward.

After initial release we look forward to your comments and suggestions for upcoming discussions!

Prepping to Launch

Here we are folks. Mike and Matt are currently working on the background items needed to get the new Lefty podcast off the ground. If you want to know more about what we are doing, check out the “About” section.

Here is a punch list of what is underway at the moment:

  • Equipment: Software is in place and the adapter to input sound is ready. We are currently working on getting the microphones in place.
  • Production: Also gathering sound clips for the intro and exit. This is just about done. Matt is also working on the tweaks, which most likely will be handled by Audacity so we can get production items online in a hurry.
  • Topics: We are compiling a list of upcoming topics. I will post what will be coming as they are fleshed out. I think we are looking at smaller podcasts, so we may move to one or two topics at a time to meet this goal. No one wants to listen to us for 30 plus minutes except us. If you have some local topics you want to hear, be sure to comment on this thread or tag us on Twitter to chime in!

So that is where we are at the moment. Stay tuned for our first post. We are pumped to get it out there.
